Google has issued a warning 3 billion Gmail users

Kathmandu. American multinational search engine company Google has issued a warning to its nearly 3 billion Gmail users worldwide to be aware of a new type of cyber threat.

According to Google, a phishing campaign has recently been active that is trying to steal login details from users. Scammers are using official-looking email addresses like no-reply@accountsgoogle.com to deceive users.

After clicking on the link in the email, the user is taken to a fake login page that looks legitimate but is designed to steal passwords.

According to security experts, this type of phishing email has also attempted to bypass Google’s normal checks, which has increased the risk. Google has advised users not to open such emails, not to click on links, and to enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
